The morning ended with a lively panel discussion with Tirza van Daalen (TNO), Goaitske de Vries (Deltares) and Flip van der Valk (The People Group) led by chairman Frits Verheij. An important conclusion was that open source, transparent tools and datasets are essential for the heat transition. To make and keep this available, management, support and further development are required. The panel members primarily see a role for the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy here.

The NieuweWarmteNu growth fund program aims to accelerate the construction of sustainable collective heating systems. In addition to 12 flywheel projects and a learning and development program, 6 innovation projects are being started that take the final step towards market application.
