Since 1 January 2022, the excavation chain has been obliged to comply with the CROW 500 excavation guideline, with the aim of preventing damage to cables and pipelines. Safe and damage-free excavation is a chain responsibility and has five phases in which all parties involved have their own role and responsibilities.
