4D stands for the fourth dimension: time. In 4D planning, spatial 3D design data is linked with planning and resource data. Additional dimensions can be added such as costs. In addition, themes such as material and equipment deployment, personnel planning and required workspaces and storage are taken into account. By using 4D planning you fully visualize and analyze the construction process, making conflicts and risks easier and more insightful at an earlier stage. 4D planning therefore leads to a reduction in failure costs.

The soil flows within large infrastructure projects are often an important and challenging part. Depending on complex 3D models, quantities are determined and all kinds of formulas are applied to the various soil flows within the project. This involves excavating and removing different soil types within different work packages in order to later supply and compact other or similar soil types. This complex logistical challenge sometimes seems like a study in itself within the already complex project.
Visualizing can contribute to better and safer choices during the design and work preparation phase. All kinds of different visualizations can be realized from a 3D model, BIM model or 4D planning. We use all known standard applications for this, but we are also very experienced in various links to Unreal Engine.
