Meet Unreal Authorized Instructor Christian

In the world of gaming, digital technology and visualization, Unreal Engine's popularity is growing steadily. What motivates someone to share their knowledge and passion for this game engine with others? We talked to Christian de Leeuw, our Unreal Authorized Instructor. Christian is one of the driving forces behind the recent introduction of our Unreal Engine training courses. He shares his motivations and explains how the game engine can be used during projects.

What motivated you to share your knowledge?

“When I came into contact with Unreal Engine and game engine technology years ago, I was immediately sold. The power and speed with which (3D) data can be made visual is truly next-level. No longer waiting for static visualizations or animations, but working immediately in a real-time environment. The versatility of Unreal Engine ensures that it can be used in many different industries.

In 2020 I felt that I could use my knowledge much more to help companies make the step to Unreal Engine. I think it's cool to see how other people use Unreal Engine for different applications and go from idea to real experience in a short time. I then started the process to become an Unreal Authorized Instructor so that I can officially provide training on behalf of Epic Games. This certification not only gave me more visibility, but also allows me to provide quality in both training and projects.”

What will participants learn during your training?

“Unreal Engine is extremely versatile and can be used across a variety of industries. A good foundation is therefore very important to be able to apply the possibilities within your field. In the Unreal Engine basic training I take students step by step through learning basic knowledge, so that they can then work independently. For example, you will learn how to use 3D assets and how to work with light, cameras, blueprints and other visual effects in your scene.

Do you still find Unreal Engine too intimidating? Then you can also follow the Twinmotion basic training. Twinmotion is software with a very user-friendly interface, built on Unreal Engine, with which you can quickly visualize and animate your own (3D) data. Afterwards, you can build your own scene from an integrated library of (your own) assets. You can then render and present this.

Both training courses are given in our training room, on location or online, and can be expanded with consultancy if desired. With this, you and the organization are ready to utilize the possibilities of Unreal Engine.”

Two new basic training courses

We recently introduced two new basic training courses in our offering. In this blog article Bert Straver tells us why we are fully committed to Unreal Engine. Do you want to learn to work with this game engine? Then quickly register for our Unreal Engine of Twinmotion training. Christian looks forward to helping you!
