We protect data
We bond The People Group great importance to the protection of our relations and (website) visitors. We therefore handle the information we process with care. This also applies to personal data. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) sets requirements for the processing of information and this privacy statement describes how The People Group implements the GDPR. Which personal data do we process?
Processing concerns an operation or set of operations relating to personal data or set of personal data, whether or not carried out via automated processes. In this privacy statement, all verb forms of 'Processing' are included in this definition. The People Group processes personal data if our services, products are used or if someone provides them to us themselves, for example by completing a web form or via an application. We may also receive data from third parties (recruitment & selection agencies). This concerns all information about an identified or identifiable natural person, whereby an identifiable natural person is considered to be a natural person who can be identified directly or indirectly. This includes the following personal data: personal details, contact details such as telephone number and e-mail address, order data, test data, identification data, signature, payment data, IP address, location data and data about surfing behavior. The People Group will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that personal data is complete and correct at all times.
What do we use personal data for?
The People Group processes personal data for, among others, the following purposes:
- Preparing quotations;
- Making contact (by telephone or e-mail);
- Processing and delivering our services;
- Sending a newsletter;
- Securing the website;
- Improving the operation of the website;
- Compliance with a retention obligation;
- Assessing suitability for a vacancy;
The reasons why personal data are processed are: The People Group often an agreement that is being executed (e.g. the delivery of services, products or a possible employment contract), sometimes oral or written consent (e.g. newsletter), sometimes a legal obligation (e.g. retention obligation) and very occasionally a legitimate interest (e.g. security of website, improving operation of website). Customers of The People Group can also be invited to customer events (e.g. training courses), for which it processes personal data. The newsletter always offers an option to unsubscribe.
Who do we share personal data with?
Without the prior written consent of the customer The People Group not process, provide, make accessible or transfer personal data to a country outside the European Economic Area. The People Group only shares personal data within this zone with others if this is necessary for the execution of an agreement, there is permission from the customer or if there is a legal obligation and will refrain from providing or making data available to third parties. The People Group will only engage third parties for the execution of the agreement, or at least the processing of personal data in that context, if the customer gives written permission for this. The People Group guarantees that third parties (sub-processors) fully comply with the provisions of this privacy statement and remains fully responsible and liable for the provisions of this privacy statement. The People Group will provide a complete list of sub-processors upon the customer's first request. The People Group will immediately inform the customer about (intended) changes regarding an addition or replacement of sub-processors, whereby the customer is offered the opportunity to object to the (intended) changes.
How do we protect personal data?
The People Group takes data protection seriously and takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. We use an SSL security certificate for data traffic to and from our website. In addition, we and our suppliers of the software in which we record personal data are certified in the field of information security (ISO 27001). As part of our ISO27001 certification, our security measures are regularly evaluated and improvements are applied where possible.
What retention periods do we use?
The People Group does not store personal data longer than is legally permitted or necessary in relation to the previously described purposes of data processing. How long depends on the type of personal data. As long as the data is stored by us, we ensure that this data is only accessible to those who also need this data to carry out the purpose of the data processing. We have also implemented various technical measures to ensure that access to the data by unauthorized persons can be prevented.
How can personal data be viewed?
You can always contact us for questions about personal data and to exercise rights. It is possible to request access, rectification, deletion, restriction of processing or portability of data. You can also object to the use of your personal data. How do we handle Cookies?
The People Group uses session cookies on the website. We also use Google Analytics cookies. The information from the Google Analytics cookies is processed anonymously. Cookies are files that are stored on the device being used (PC, tablet or smartphone). This happens when this website is visited for the first time. These cookies ensure the proper functioning of the website. It is not personal data. Stored cookies can also be deleted at any time in a browser. The browser can also be set so that no cookies are stored.
Session cookies
With the help of a session cookie we can see which parts of the website were viewed during a visit. We can therefore adapt our service as much as possible to the surfing behavior of our visitors. Session cookies are automatically deleted when the web browser is closed.
Google Analytics cookies
A cookie from Google is placed via our website as part of the so-called Analytics service. We use this service to track and receive reports on how visitors use our website. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so or if third parties process the information on behalf of Google. We have no influence on this. We have not allowed Google to use the obtained analytics information for other Google services. The information that Google collects is anonymized as much as possible. IP addresses are expressly not provided. The information is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google states that it adheres to the so-called Safe Harbor principles and is affiliated with the Safe Harbor program of the US Department of Commerce. This means that there is an appropriate level of protection for the processing of any personal data.

Our carefully selected partners and service providers may process personal information about you on our behalf, as described below:
Digital Marketing Service Providers: We periodically appoint digital marketing agents to conduct marketing activities on our behalf; such activities may lead to the compliant processing of personal information. Privacy Statement for Applicants
In this privacy statement The People Group explains how it handles the privacy of data provided via an application or data we receive from third parties (recruitment & selection agencies).
We respect the privacy of applicants. We ensure that the personal information provided is treated confidentially and in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By sending your application you agree that the personal data will be processed by The People Group and that these are included in our database. We will treat this information confidentially and only use it for the application procedure The People Group. We will not provide information to third parties outside the application procedure, unless we are obliged to do so by law.
The People Group stores the data of applicants during and after the recruitment and selection procedure. After the recruitment and selection procedure has ended, the application data is stored for a maximum of 4 weeks, unless the applicant has given us permission to store this data for a longer period, in which case it is stored for a maximum of 12 months or for as long as an applicant indicates. After the expiry of the retention period, the data is removed from the system. Upon request, we will remove the data from our database earlier.
