Start with 3D designing in OpenRoads Designer basics

As a designer, have you been working with Bentley MX or Autodesk Civil 3D for years, but are you looking for a more powerful package with more flexibility? Then this training is a good starting point! Would you like to know what the package has to offer and how you can best achieve it? This training offers you a first introduction to all basic functionalities.

The software offers very diverse functionalities and in this basic training we try to show as much of this as possible, such as smart design based on public data and point clouds. In this training we go through the entire process of creating a terrain model based on different data sources, designing axes (horizontal and vertical) and building a complete model using “smart” templates. In addition, matters such as visualizing and exporting are also discussed.

BONUSES: You will receive free access to the complete OpenRoads teaching material within the digital learning environment for one year, so that you can always consult the teaching material or completed assignments wherever and whenever you want.

Results afterwards?

  • You can create a terrain model from various sources.
  • You can import axes in different ways or design them yourself (horizontal and vertical).
  • You know how to build templates, make them smarter and convert them into a model.
  • You are ready to design your own project in OpenRoads.
